Field Applications Engineer
Job Description

Position: Field Applications Engineer, reporting to Director of Sales.

Job location: Shenzhen

Role:
Sales / Marketting Support

* Support sales team in pre and post design win activities.
* Support the sales team in technical presentations and interfacing with customer’s engineering staff
* Write the technical part of customer visit reports
* Participate in regular sales conference calls
* Report new requirements to the factory for future product development

Customer Support / Design Win activity

* Provide the first point of interface for customers engineers to assist in designing in Skylab products and bringing their designs to production
* Monitor and report progress of design opportunities
* Review and debug customer designs
* Organize conference calls to address major customer issues

GPS Technical Support

* Development of application notes, presentations, seminars and internal training material.
* Host technical meetings
* Answer general support questions from web inquires
* Prepare and update FAQ list

Candidate Profile

Education: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electronics related subject

Languages: English.

Experience: Proven Track record of working in a Field Applications Engineering role with 3+ years experience in electronics with focus on the following areas:

* Digital communications systems
* Mobile Communications
* Risc Processors
* Working Knowledge of C / C++ an advantage
* RF experience an advantage
* GPS experience an advantage
